Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of HNK approved the work of AUBIH in Mostar

Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport in Herzegovina - Neretva Canton approved to American University in Bosnia and Herzegovina (AUBiH) to work in the area of HNK, in the academic year 2011/ 2012. At the request of AUBiH and the attached documents, it have been approved to open departments of the Faculty of International Law and Diplomacy, the Faculty of Digital Economy and Information Technology and the Faculty of International Finance and Banking.
On this occasion, Mr. Srećko Boras, HNK Prime Minister, met today with Denis Prcić, the AUBIH President and with the Head of Administration and the Department of International Cooperation Partner State University of New York (SUNY Canton), Ryan Deuel, in the Government of HNK in Mostar.
We express our satisfaction and gratitude to the Government of HNK, to Srećko Boras, Prime Minister, and to Esad Dželilović, the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports for understanding and support they have shown towards AUBiH and we hope for a successful and long-term cooperation. We believe that the arrival of AUBiH to these areas, along with the other higher education institutions, will contribute in improving the quality of education. Education, which is offered to students by AUBiH, is based on the American system of education, lectures are in English with American professors using the latest theoretical and practical knowledge. We are confident that the AUBiH will encourage the economic progress of the entire region ", said Denis Prcić, the AUBIH president.
In this way, AUBiH officially begins the campaign of enrollment in the academic year 2011/2012, in the HNK.
It is planned that AUBiH presents its scientific curriculum and the advantages of studying at AUBiH to the students who graduate across the HNK, until the end of the first enrollment period in secondary schools and high schools.
The AUBiH students are educated with the use of contemporary standards in the grading system, organization studies, didactic methods, and curricula is based on best practices and traditions of American universities, applying all the principles initiated by the Bologna process of European higher education reform, which is verified through the Realization of two degrees, which are implemented by AUBiH with the American University partner, State University of New York (SUNY Canton).
For the educational needs of students and research development at AUBiH, we hired people with education and experience gained at prestigious American universities, which provide teaching in English, and at the same time, using the Harvard "case-study" method of learning based on analysis of case studies, encourage critical thinking at students and creative approach to solving problems.
AUBiH was established in 2005. The first generation of AUBIH students graduated last year and they received two degrees, a Bosnian AUBIH diploma and a SUNY diploma. Currently, there are almost 500 students who study in its colleges and universities. After Tuzla, Sarajevo and Banja Luka, Mostar is the fourth regional center in which AUBiH opens his faculties.
